About the Mommy Has Cancer series

When the author, Natalie Kwadrans, was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer, she knew her and her family’s life would never be the same. She also quickly discovered that very few resources existed young families with such a serious diagnosis. That’s how the “Mommy Has Cancer” was conceptualised.

The series of animated comic strips is dedicated to helping young families with a gravely ill parent navigate their uncommon lives. Follow fictional characters Val Périot (mom), Isabelle (daughter) and Simon (son) as they are faced with new situations and how they deal with their new reality.
